Dear Roger
Well, you've proven it again. Can't believe anyone would doubt your limitless potential, incredible talent or endless hard work. It seems that, Roger, even on Murray days, you do seem... invincible.
3rd ranked player in the world. Hottest property coming into Australian Open. British numero uno. Deadly backhand. Amazing angles. Best returner in the game. Solid game. In the best shape of his life. Huge coaching team. That's Andy Murray.
Number ONE ranked player in history. Hottest property going into any Slam. History's numero uno. Deadly, well.. everything. Amazing angles. Better than best returner in the game. What's this about solid? Father. No coaching stuff. Mirka. Roger Federer.
Well Andy, you've got a loooooong way to go. 16 and counting.
"No, no one should have ever doubted you, Mr. Federer. The man who almost always wins, the man who reaches the semifinals as surely as he wakes up in the morning, the man who rarely suffers an injury, paper cut, stuffy nose, or bout of heartburn isn’t just great. He’s not lucky, either. He’s the best there has ever been." - Tom Perrotta

History's Greatest
I never seen a Great like this
slapping forehands with such ease
Spinny backhands and dropshots
all sorts of majestic shots
The big One-Five you have hit
faster than your serve would sit
Never before done in history
has anyone seen such a story
Hard, grass and even clay
you never stopped, you just played
Thinking it was all a myth
number one was only an if.
Lucky some might say it was
even Nadal-less, some say it wore
Soderling and Roddick are not him
French and Wimby, he went missing
But hard to argue all the facts
filled with style and heroic comebacks
The game of Federer so fluid and true
mixed with a grit, and mistakes so few
Like a ballet dance of bat and balls
Orchastrated; the biggest legend of them all
More than just the huff and puff
he made it look easy, although that's a laugh
Federer is now a father of two
passion he still has to pursue
He'll never stop at one and five
you better believe that,
'Cos he's Number One.

Brecon Beacon. Sprained ankle. Very tired.
Very rewarding. Amazing time today.. 7 hours up and down the mountain. From starting out trying to find lower Neuadd, and the first steep slopes, and the amazing, unbelievable views, and the ascent to the peak.
And then not to forget the path which had no one, the music video, and the descend (which was amazingly tough!).. (it's my car!).
This has to be the highlight of my time here so far. Took just 36exps of black and white, gonna develop them soon and try to spend some time in the dark room.
Thank God for bank holiday Monday. Gotta go again soon.

Do you remember the times
You tucked me to sleep
When I was still
A wee little kid?
And growing up with
you by my side
Always left me with
warm feelings inside.
All the troubles a boy could bear
You took it upon yourself
You said 'don't despair'
In every stage of my life
You were there
from walking to study
from waking to dawning
So on this Mother's day I remember you
My mum, who threw it all,
and gave me everything I knew
And that billions will always say
Their mother was the best woman
They knew, even till this day.

crazy. stupid. very crazy. very stupid. and wow.
you know how they say that everyone goes through an incident which makes them actually appreciate that they're alive? mine was really something like that, albeit very very stupid.
So my mate asked me to help him plug on a charger, and me being extremely lazy, just picked up a pair of scissors, and stuck it into the power. (It was a 2 pin charger!, who makes those these days anyway) Needless to say, the power in the house went out, sparks flew and nearly blinded me, and i m really lucky to not have been electrocuted (at all).
I didn't realise the severity of the situation till my flat mates told me i was really lucky not to have been shocked, and electrician was just wondering how nothing caught fire. Nothing like that's ever happened in Singapore! my tracksuit now smells of smoke, and i'm still going 'oh my god'. Unbelievable.
Yes I know, very stupid, and deserving if anything actually did happen. But the fact is nothing did happen, bar a couple of seconds blinded, and that's grace for you. Woo wee.Nuts, this is just for the record never to do anything like that again.

There was a time that forehand made sense
When it was as sweet as a scent
But now, it is all falling apart
Where it seems, no longer an art
When titles and wins were all the same
Losses were few and thoroughly insane
But now it seems that, Number two
You're moving more like R2D2
Number 1 seems far away
Backhands have all gone astray
But stop a while to consider this
Might you be getting too old you think?
Old man of the tour it seems
Breaking threads all at its seams
Just one more to be a GOAT
yet that one more seems hard to boat
Maybe it's all in the mind
It might be that, marriage divine
Or maybe you just no longer feel
the passion to compete, nothing new
Hard to get back on your feet
Difficult, or worse to master this feat
Still if somehow you pulled this through
Number One; is all that is true.
